I had the most incredible matcha tea ceremony experience — it was truly one of the cultural highlights of my time in Japan. From the moment we began, it was clear that my teacher was deeply educated, refined, and genuinely devoted to preserving the art and tradition of the ceremony.
He didn’t just perform the ritual — he explained the meaning behind every movement, every gesture, and every detail with such grace and clarity. His knowledge of history, etiquette, and Japanese culture made the experience feel immersive and authentic rather than just observational. I walked away feeling enriched, calm, and deeply appreciative of the centuries-old traditions behind matcha.
What made the experience even more special was that he creates his own matcha — and it was absolutely exquisite. The flavor was smooth, vibrant, and perfectly balanced with no bitterness at all. Very informative and fun experience. Our family of six enjoyed it. Our guide, Komei, was excellent. He had kimonos and decaffeinated matcha for our kids as well. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing experience. Highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in teaism and the history of Matcha. The different types of matcha was great to taste. Must do experience!

Amazing 🤩! Incredible matcha tea-ceremony experience for the whole family. Love how you dress in the traditional Japanese apparel and learn all about matcha and its origins. Changed my whole perspective on matcha and how Starbucks does not have the real matcha and how you can tell. Best part was the hands on matcha making with options. Amazing guides and a memorable experience for my family! ❤️👍
